Aerial Photography of forestry, windblown trees! Following the devastating Storm Arwen, Air Images was tasked with flying vast areas of forestry - the mission was to locate, photograph and record locations of destroyed forest areas; this could only be done from the air. Since January this year, following the storm, we have flown vast areas - our survey images are invaluable for planning retrieval of this precious wood. Thought we'd share a few random images to illustrate the scale of the damage, from a bird's eye view ....
G-BEOE Take Off! Thank you to Andy Cowan @NEAMPR for sending us this great shot of Oscar Echo departing Eshott Airfield for another busy day of Aerial Photography

Hexham voted happiest place to live in Britain!
We are so Happy!!!
Our home town in Northumberland, has once again been crowned as the Happiest Place to live in Britain. Hexham was previously awarded the title in 2019, following a national annual survey by property website Rightmove. The winning ingredients include Hexham's friendliness and community spirit, green spaces, local opportunities to develop skills, and amenities such as schools, restaurants, shops and sports facilities.
To celebrate, here is one of our stunning aerial photographs of Hexham, our picturesque market town.
Our Cessna FRA 150M Aerobat Aircraft, stripped down during its 2021 Annual service / inspection. All maintenance completed and ready to get back to some aerial photography work.
2021 is a milestone for Air Images, as we celebrate 30 years in business! Established in 1991, we purchased our own aircraft G-BEOE the following year. We still operate this wonderful aircraft, photographs can be seen on our Gallery pages. We have a busy year ahead, both with new aerial survey flying and assisting clients who require old aerial photos for boundary disputes, planning issues etc. We have our own vast archive and are able to source and provide historical, date authenticated old aerial photographs of any site in the UK, from 1940's to present day.
Please contact us to discuss your aerial view requirements.
